With the NBA Playoffs just under 2 weeks away, the Milwaukee Bucks have jumped the Boston Celtics as the favorites to win the NBA Championship. Since before Christmas, the Celtics have held on to the shortest NBA title odds until right now.
They’ve remained under 400 odds since then with Milwaukee holding on to the second shortest title odds since February when the Phoenix Suns traded for Kevin Durant. However, the Bucks have now claimed the shortest odds at 280.

They have all of the right qualities of a team deserving of the shortest odds to win the NBA Finals as well. They’re averaging the sixth most points per game this season at 117.1 ppg and are top-15 in the league in points allowed per game at 112.9. They also have the third highest point differential at 4.2 points on average.
On the betting site of things, they have the overall best record in the NBA at 58-22 and are also ranked number one against the spread up to this point with a 43-31-6 ATS record which is good for a 58.1% success rate.

Strengthening the Bucks odds, even more, is that they opened and remained favored to win the Eastern Conference Finals since the preseason odds opened with them at 230. Their odds now sit at 120 just ahead of the playoffs and dropped below 200 under a month ago.

Phoenix jumped into the mix late after they traded for Kevin Durant. They’ve proven to be a major force in the league since the trade having gone an undefeated 8-0 in the game that Durant has suited up for them thus far.
