The Wide Receivers in this class aren’t exactly the game-breakers that we have seen in the past few years, but it is a solid class.

The Top 5 in my opinion all have the potential to be impact players early, but I don’t believe that any of them have Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson…

5. Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee

An absolute burner, who runs better on the field than he has in his testing numbers. He burst to the forefront of Tennessee’s offense when Cedric Tillman went down with an injury. He is a true deep threat. The straight-line speed showed to be too much for the SEC. He will need to add some wiggle to the NFL.

4. Jordan Addison, USC

Addison could be the best receiver from this class five years from now. He has been the best wide receiver in college over the last two years. However, weighing in at the combine at only 173 pounds is concerning. He plays quicker than he timed in the 40, but ultimately, he has never had to play in a poor passing offense.

3. Zay Flowers, Boston College

Explosive, wiggle, hands, crisp routes. These are all words to describe Zay Flowers. He was the best player on a horrible Boston College team. No matter his being the focal point of everyone’s game plan, he was still able to get open and be a menace. He has the game to be a dominant slot receiver in the NFL.

2. Quentin Johnston, TCU

The only one of the potential first-round receivers that look to be a potential outside #1 receiver. He can jump, control his body, and makes spectacular catches. He showed the ability to run away from defenders in college but takes a while to get going. In the NFL, you need to be able to get separation early. That is my main concern with him.

1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State

Smith-Njigba has begun to separate himself from the other receivers in this class and was the nearly unanimous top receiver in our voting. While not blazing fast, Smith-Njigba possesses outstanding quickness and route-running ability, consistently separating from defensive backs late in the route. If he is not the first receiver taken on draft night, it will be one of the biggest storylines. He played with Garret Wilson, Chris Olave, and Marvin Harrison Jr, and all of them have said that he is the best of the bunch. He dominates the middle of the field.
