The Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers will face off in the 2023 World Series, with Game 1 set for Friday October 27, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The Rangers will be seeking their first-ever World Series title after losing the Fall Classic in 2010 and 2011. The Diamondbacks won the World Series in the franchise’s only previous appearance in 2001.

Texas finished the regular season with a record of 90-72. During the postseason, the Rangers have gone 9-3 with sweeps over Tampa Bay and Baltimore, followed by a seven-game series win over Houston.
Arizona went 84-78 during the regular season and also 9-3 in the postseason.
The Diamondbacks gained upset sweeps over the Brewers and Dodgers before edging the Phillies in seven games.
Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen is scheduled to face Nathan Eovaldi of the Rangers in Game 1. Gallen is 2-2 with a 5.24 ERA during the postseason, and Eovaldi is 4-0 with a 2.42 ERA in four postseason starts.

The Diamondbacks are getting plus odds to win the World Series, which is a good value. The Rangers bats have been on fire, but during the regular season, the Texas offense would tend to go through some cold spells.
The Diamondbacks were not given much chance in any of their prior postseason season series, but they responded well after falling behind to the Phillies 2-0 in the NLCS. Arizona also won the head-to-head season series over Texas 3 games to 1 this season.
