The MLB season is upon us, so it is time for World Series predictions. There are plenty of solid teams in the MLB, but only one can win it all. In this article, I will talk about which teams have the best chances of winning the World Series.
I will focus on one American League team and one National League team in this article. The American League team I will focus on will be the Houston Astros, and the National League team will be the New York Mets.

The Houston Astros are an obvious choice. The Astros have 750 odds to win it all. They lost a key piece in Justin Verlander this offseason but still have a fantastic rotation. Framber Valdez, Cristian Javier, Lance McCullers Jr., Luis Garcia, and Jose Urquidy make up the Houston rotation.
Valdez is coming off a 17-6 season, Javier had a 2.54 ERA last season, and McCullers Jr., Garcia, and Urquidy would be the #1 or #2 pitchers on many other teams. Every one of these pitchers is reliable, and not one of them is a liability.

The Astros’ lineup is also one of the best in baseball. They have six solid hitters in Jeremy Pena, Jose Abreu, Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker, Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, and Chas McCormick.
Altuve is injured and yet to make his season debut, but the other six will hold it down. Most of these players have been on the Astros’ for at least a couple of seasons and can all get on base. Houston knows what it takes to succeed and will win another World Series this year.
The National League is a little more congested, but I would pick the Mets to make the Worlds Series. Everyone knows they have a solid lineup consisting of Pete Alonso, Mark Canha, Francisco Lindor, Jeff McNeil, Starling Marte, Eduardo Escobar, and Brandon Nimmo, but their rotation is what sets them apart.
New York signed Justin Verlander and Kodai Senga this offseason. They greatly improved their rotation, which will be the difference maker for them this season and push them to the World Series.
